Mid Data Analyst - Finance
<p><strong>About the team:</strong></p> <div data-testid="markdown-response"> <div> <p id="message">We're looking for a Data Analyst to join our Commercial Analytics team within Finance and help shape how SumUp measures commercial performance across the customer lifecycle.</p> </div> </div> <div data-testid="markdown-response"> <div> <p id="message">In this role, you'll work closely with our Global and European FP&A teams, partnering on some of SumUp's most important strategic questions. You'll build the data foundations behind financial and commercial decision-making — from defining trusted KPIs and scalable data models to delivering reporting and analyses that help leadership understand performance, identify opportunities, and make better decisions.</p> </div> </div> <div data-testid="markdown-response"> <div> <p id="message">You'll join an experienced analytics environment where data is treated as a strategic capability, and where strong analytical thinking, business context, and stakeholder partnership matter just as much as technical execution.</p> <p> </p> </div> </div> <p><strong>What you'll do</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Build and maintain scalable data models that track financial and commercial performance across the customer lifecycle, including metrics such as recurring revenue, payback, lifetime value, customer acquisition cost, and churn</li> <li>Develop clear, reliable dashboards and reporting layers that enable self-serve analytics for Finance stakeholders and leadership</li> <li>Partner closely with FP&A and cross-functional business stakeholders to translate finance and commercial questions into KPIs, analyses, and actionable recommendations</li> <li>Deliver advanced analyses that combine strong quantitative thinking with business context to support planning, performance tracking, and strategic decision-making</li> <li>Help define and improve the core metrics, data definitions, and reporting standards used to measure business performance across markets and segments</li> <li>Work with analytics engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure data is well-structured, trusted, and accessible for high-quality financial analysis</li> <li>Contribute to data-informed planning and OKRs, including areas such as merchant segmentation, growth performance, and unit economics</li> <li>Act as a thought partner to stakeholders by challenging assumptions, identifying risks or opportunities, and helping teams move from data to decision</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>You'll be a great fit for this role if you have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>4+ y...
